Security Instrument Modernizes Communications Platform with GoTo and Onetel Security

Founded in 1960, Security Instrument provides electronic security and life safety detection with associated monitoring and support services. Security Instrument is Delaware’s largest full-service independently-owned security firm serving thousands of customers throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland offering a full line of services from professionally engineered system designs and turnkey installation services, to 24-hour monitoring. 

Since Security Instrument prides itself on providing highly personalized service to their customers, the company recently investigated migrating its systems to a Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) platform to better adapt to customer needs. 

For example, Security Instrument legacy communications vendor required submitting a support ticket just to redirect calls. Director of Central Systems and Business Operations, Bob Gamble, knew there was a better way using the flexible features a modern UCaaS system provides.

Many of our staff thought they wouldn’t be interested in using the GoTo app on their smartphones or other devices. But once they tried it, they absolutely loved it. Now we have a seamless experience with communications. It doesn’t matter if people are in the office or not. We all now have the same access to our desk phone communications anywhere we go on any device.
